PID Transmitter

Scott Health & Safety is proud
to announce the launch of the new Freedom PID gas detection transmitter. Adding
Photo Ionization Detection (PID) to Scott’s broad line of gas detection
capabilities adds a robust ability to monitor many gases/vapors.
Combustible and toxic materials
such as toluene and benzene can be detected in the ppm range; much lower than
electrochemical, catalytic bead, infrared or open path technologies.
The Freedom PID monitor does not
loose its zero stability when over-ranged like a traditional cat bead or
electrochemical sensor. A PID sensor offers much lower level ranges of detection
where toxicity is an important criteria in day to day operations.
Many of the combustible
materials that people monitor are in the LEL range. They are however
highly toxic at levels far below the LEL range of detection.
The Freedom PID now offers a
solution for these applications.
